As they return to their phones, looking down at my own I am doubtful that, even with a hundred similar train trips, I could swipe to what was on theirs. It’s good to try to have a varied media diet. To engage with opinions that challenge us – and to try to understand how other people think. Yet this is increasingly a near impossible task.
