Manu hamstrung, long list of stars resting, Papa’s year over, Ponga races clock for finals

Stars are being rested left, right and centre among the teams that have already qualified for the top eight, making the final round a tipster’s nightmare.

Daniel Tupou is the latest name to be pulled, though he isn’t being rested: the Roosters winger sustained a posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) injury in training and will miss the crucial clash with South Sydney. Junior Pauga will be his replacement.
