Man dies at Forbes Street unit

Police are investigating what led to a man being found with stab wounds to his torso in Sydney’s inner west.

Emergency services were called to Forbes Street in Newtown about 7pm on Friday following reports of an assault.

On arrival, police found a man inside a unit block with stab wounds to his torso. He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, but died at the scene.

He has not been formally identified, but is believed to be aged in his 60s.
