The Gisborne GP diagnosed Collicoat with osteopenia, or low bone density, but the software also prompted him to consider an overactive parathyroid, vitamin D deficiency and chronic kidney disease.
“I knew the diagnosis was osteopenia but the technology gave me some other things to think about,” he said.
Collicoat said he enjoyed being able to maintain eye contact with Masood throughout the consultation, instead of watching him type up notes.
